The English Language Fellow Program is excited to announce the launch of the Alumni Ambassador Program! We are currently accepting applications from former Fellows to join the Alumni Ambassador cohort for the 2017-2018 academic year. The deadline to apply is August 1, 2017.

The Alumni Ambassador Program is a prestigious cohort of 12 motivated former Fellows who are selected on an annual basis. The U.S. Department of State English Language Fellow Program relies on Alumni Ambassadors to share their program experience with the larger TESOL community. In exchange, Alumni Ambassadors have the opportunity to stay connected with their alumni community, present at regional conferences, access exclusive Alumni Affairs resources and other U.S. Department of State programs.

Alumni Ambassadors are given a platform to share their fellowship experience with professional and personal circles through videos, webinars, podcast interviews, and at conferences and special events throughout the United States. This program empowers our network of alumni and showcases the diversity, experience, and professionalism of the English Language Fellow Program alumni community.

For more information and to apply, click here. Applicants will be considered based on their completion of the online application form, an evaluation of their work during their fellowship in conjunction with RELO input, and how their career has developed post-fellowship. Twelve Alumni Ambassadors will be chosen for the 2017-2018 academic year with consideration given to regional diversity of fellowship and current locations.
