Managua is the capital of Nicaragua. It is a small urban town with a friendly population. It is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Managua and is Nicaragua’s largest city, with a population of more than 1,300,000.

UNAN Managua is a warm and friendly environment to work in. People working at UNAN Managua have the opportunity to interact with administrators, teachers, and students, and to participate in a wide range of academic and cultural activities on and off campus.

Primary Duties

  • The Fellow will co-teach 4 Skills, grammar, and vocabulary at the university.
  • The Fellow will conduct professional development trainings on TESOL methods, techniques and syllabus design.

Secondary Duties

The Fellow may be asked to:

  • Support Embassy programs, such as the English Access Microscholarship Program Camp.
  • Conduct teacher trainings around the country involving TESOL methods, techniques and syllabus design.
