Are you attending the TESOL 2017 International Convention in Seattle? Join us for a variety of exciting activities throughout the week of March 21-24! The TESOL Convention is a unique opportunity to connect directly with program participants and alumni to learn about what it is like to serve as a Fellow.

Stop by booth #801 to chat with program staff and alumni, and snag program materials like brochures, notebooks, and pens. The exhibit hall is open from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm on Friday.

You can also learn more about opportunities to live and teach abroad with the English Language Fellow Program at one of our two info sessions:

Teach Abroad with the English Language Fellow Program

  • Thursday, March 23, 4:00-4:45 pm in WSSC room 612
  • Friday, March 24, 2:00-2:45 pm in WSSC room 612

During these presentations, we will provide you with an overview of the program, the eligibility requirements, and the application and review process. You will have the opportunity to hear from program alumni about their unique fellowship experiences and have your questions answered by staff from our Washington, D.C. office.

Additionally, you are invited to join us for a Networking Breakfast in the English Language Expo Hall at booth #801 on Friday, March 24, between 8:30 am and 10:30 am. There will be food, fun activities, and time for networking.

Don’t forget to connect with us on social media! Follow along with the festivities and join the conversation by tagging us @ELPrograms and using the #TESOL17 hashtag. We’ll be live-tweeting the event and posting photos on Facebook and Instagram, so we encourage you to join the fun virtually.

Program Alumni

The TESOL Convention is a great opportunity to reconnect with the English Language Programs community and your alumni peers. Stop by booth #801 in the Expo Hall to catch up with us and share what you have been up to since completing your last fellowship. The Networking Breakfast on Friday is a great time to pick up your alumni swag bag and participate in a few fun activities exclusively for program alumni.

If you are attending or presenting at the Convention, please click here to let us know. We will keep you updated on our TESOL activities and share your presentation with our colleagues from the State Department and the broader TESOL community. We love any opportunity to highlight the great work our alumni are contributing to the field.

See you in Seattle!
