English Language Fellow Visits Moldova to Educate Teachers

English Language Fellow Jeanie Lundbom lead workshops at a symposium in Baiti as well as a training for META (Moldovan English Teachers’ Association) in Chisinau, Moldova.

Lundbom led a workshop on “Multi-Mode Language Practice” at the 2nd Annual Spring Symposium at Alecu Russo Balti State University with 10 teachers from Northern Moldova. Teachers learned about various learning styles and how people have different kinds of intelligences. Teachers commented that this training was essential because they had never been exposed to this information before.

At the META training, Lundbom led two workshops: Multi-Mode Language Practice, and Academic Writing. Twenty-two English instructors and Access teachers from Southern Moldova attended the training in Chisinau. Participants said the materials were new, helpful and accurate, which helped them understand tricky grammar topics. At the end of the workshops, Lundbom received flowers, a certificate and much appreciation from attendees.
