Fellow Conducts English Club Teacher Training in the Democratic Republic of Congo

English Language Fellow Yeba Robinson organized an English club teacher training workshop at the Free Methodist Church, Commune Matete, Kinshasa, DRC.  40 participants from various professions including 30 men and 10 women attended the two-hour session in which they learned strategies for organizing, recruiting and maintaining English club membership.  Attendees also learned about democracy as a basis for a mutual and smooth transition into an organization.

At the two month-old English club, the enthusiastic participants said the session was a valuable prelude to the spread of English in the Congo, and one participant requested that the Fellow assist him in starting his own English Club.
