Fellow Conducts Workshop Using English Teaching Forum

In Pokhara, Nepal, English Language Fellow Stela Wasson organized and conducted a workshop on the topic, “Using English Teaching Forum.” Local English teachers attended the workshop and learned how to access and utilize the American English website to find a myriad of teaching resources.

The participants read the newest issue of English Teaching Forum magazine to become familiar with its structure and with the articles and teaching tips it offers. During the workshop, the teachers also brainstormed ideas for how to the journal regularly in order to stay current in their field and to facilitate their students’ learning. The workshop not only gave teachers the opportunity to explore the content of American English, but also let them work with their colleagues to find ways to include new teaching ideas in a Nepalese context.
