Fellow Emcees Spelling Bee and Judges Speech Contest on Education Day

English Language Fellow Kristin Tregillus worked with Chiang Rai Rajabhat University students to organize Education Day for area primary schools. There were many different English activities for students to participate in.

Some of the activities included a spelling bee, a speech contest, and a charades game. Tregillus served as the emcee for the spelling bee and later as one of the judges for the speech contest. The winner of the speech contest spoke about the roles of teachers in the 21st century classroom.  Education Day occurred at the Chiang Rai Rajabhat University and primary students from in and around Chiang Rai attended.

This event gave primary students an opportunity to practice their English in a fun way and also to interact with other students. The education students showed great leadership by planning, decorating, and emceeing at the events.
