Fellow Trains Teachers Preparing Students for Study Abroad

English Language Fellow Lauryn Gallo met with teachers and consultants at EIC Education Wuhan, one of the largest education agencies in China that prepare students for study abroad in English-speaking countries.

In the first workshop, Gallo presented authentic activities that participants could use with students to get them thinking about the challenges they might encounter while abroad. Gallo also provided resources and solutions that can help students in both their academic work and social life.

In the second workshop, participants tried out methods for helping students write their best narrative essays. Activities focused on supporting students in areas in which they often have difficulties, such as critical reading, brainstorming, and creative and descriptive writing.
