As part of the Amcor’s Edufest at the American Corner UMY in Yogyakarta, Fellow Sean Stellfox gave a presentation to high school students on ways to study and practice English vocabulary. Participants learned how to use Voice of America (VOA) to acquire vocabulary, and quizlet.com to study and practice new words.
One participant remarked that “the workshop materials given were very up to date” and that “Voice of America’s amazing videos were more familiar to youngsters’ lives.” Participants were very excited to gain access to these resources to help improve their English learning process.
