For this application cycle only, former English Language Fellows are eligible to apply as a one‑time exception. If you’ve ever hoped for the chance to serve again, this temporary opportunity is your moment.
Below is important information to help you determine your eligibility:
- One‑time exception details — This exception applies only to the 2027–2028 cycle.
- PDS/RELO reference — Strongly encouraged for all prior English Language Programs participants, including AY 2019–2020 Fellows evacuated due to COVID‑19 and all Virtual English Language Fellows.
- COVID‑19 Fellow eligibility — COVID-19 Fellows may apply using their extended eligibility in the 2027–2028 cycle. If selected for a 2027-2028 fellowship, that extended eligibility will be considered used and cannot be used again in a future cycle. COVID-19 Fellows who have already returned for another fellowship since the 2019-2020 cycle may apply again for the 2027-2028 cycle.
