Showcasing American Innovation: EdTech Expo Connects Global Educators with Cutting-Edge Tools

American educational technology is shaping classrooms around the world, and on November 13, 2025, English Language Programs put that innovation front and center. The Innovative English Teaching: American EdTech Expo brought together 21 EdTech companies and hundreds of English language educators for a virtual event designed to spotlight American expertise, foster new partnerships, and expand access to educational solutions in teaching contexts worldwide.

Since the launch of the Virtual English Language Educator Program in 2022, English Language Programs has sought new ways to strengthen the use of technology in virtual classrooms worldwide. Initially conceived as an effort to support Virtual Educators, the EdTech Expo expanded to include English Language Fellows and Specialists, as well as educators affiliated with  the English Access Scholarship Program (Access) and the Online Professional English Network (OPEN). Participants from around the world came seeking tools to support English language teaching and learning and left with fresh ideas for integrating EdTech into their classrooms.

A Global Virtual Gathering

Interest in the American EdTech Expo was strong, with 700 educators registering and 321 participants joining the event live or asynchronously. Participants represented a wide range of professional contexts, from K–12 classrooms to universities, teacher training programs, and TESOL leadership roles. With educators joining from 90 countries, the expo reflected the global impact of American EdTech companies across educational systems and cultural contexts.

As one participant noted, “The event was a remarkable opportunity to empower the global ELT [English Language Teaching] community,” underscoring the value of initiatives supported by the U.S. Department of State in expanding access to high-quality educational resources and expertise.

Showcasing Innovative EdTech Solutions

At the center of the event was the virtual Expo Hall, where participants explored exhibitor booths featuring recorded demonstrations, downloadable materials, and live Zoom sessions with company representatives. The format allowed EdTech providers to present their products directly, answer practical questions, and engage educators in real time.

From ELT favorites such as Factile and Color Vowel to AI-powered software such as MagicSchool, Brisk Teaching, and Storytime AI, the variety of exhibitors ensured there was something for everyone. “The virtual Expo Hall was engaging, with well-organized booths, live demos, and relevant exhibitors that matched my teaching needs,” one educator reflected.

American EdTech companies appreciated the opportunity to expand their reach globally, and participants left the event energized and eager to experiment. One shared that “each [tool] offered unique value and potential” and “stood out as powerful platforms with practical applications,” while another noted, “I discovered several innovative AI tools that were completely new to me and appreciated the wealth of ideas and resources brought together under one platform.”

Looking to the Future

The Innovative English Teaching: American EdTech Expo illustrated how English Language Programs can serve as a bridge between American educational innovation and educators seeking proven, high-quality solutions. By creating space for meaningful exchange and discovery, the expo advanced opportunities for U.S. EdTech companies to reach new audiences while reinforcing the United States’ role as a leader in educational technology and English language teaching.
